NAACP Virginia District 8 to Host Community Town Hall with Local and State Leaders

Alexandria, VA — The NAACP Virginia District 8 proudly announces an engaging Town Hall Meeting scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Roberts Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 606 S Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.

This vital community conversation will feature distinguished guest speakers including Congressman Don Beyer, Alexandria City Councilman John Taylor Chapman, Arlington County Board Member Julius "JD" Spain, Jr., and Virginia Delegate Marcus B. Simon. These respected leaders will offer insights on key legislative issues, community priorities, and actionable pathways for equity and progress across Northern Virginia.

The Town Hall aims to foster transparent dialogue between residents and their elected officials, providing space for concerns, questions, and collaborative solutions. As our region continues to grow and evolve, this forum represents a meaningful opportunity to align leadership with the voices of the people.

“This is a chance for the community to be seen, heard, and understood,” said Darrlynn Franklin spokesperson for the NAACP District 8. “We look forward to a powerful exchange of ideas and perspectives that will help shape our shared future.”

All are welcome to attend. Doors open at 1:45 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
